I usually introduce myself as a software developer. My wife insists that “software engineer” is a title reserved for people who went to fancy engineering schools. Since she’s usually right, I’ve stopped arguing.

Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time exploring AI-assisted software development, backend systems, and developer tooling. Unfortunately, AI hasn't made me a better developer, it has just made my bad ideas cheaper to try.
